Zara Dwinger is azara director.

She was born and raised in Amsterdam.

Her love for film is neverending.

And that’s exactly what made her decide to go to the Netherlands Film Academy after her Anthropology studies, her work for online cultural magazine hard//hoofd and different film internships.

On the academy she co-directed the feature film Ik Geloof Dat Ik Gelukkig Ben (2015), and directed the short coming-of-age films LIV (2016) and SIRENE (2017). LIV got selected for Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen.
SIRENE won 3 prizes on the Keep An Eye Filmacademie Festival, namely the AVROTROS Scenario Award, the KNF Filmjournalist Award for best Filmacademy Film and the Haghefilm Digitaal Audience Award.

She also loves telling mini-stories in commercials or going crazy in music videos, like the one for Avi On Fire that was selected for VOTD and even had a little appearance in Dutch talkshow De Wereld Draait Door.
